Submit by August 12 - Enter the AIA Film Challenge today! Enter the fifth annual #AIAFilmChallenge and share how you've improved a community, from rebuilding a coastal city to creating cost-effective housing and designing secure schools. You're invited to partner with filmmakers to submit a documentary-style film, three-to-five-minutes long, that shows how you've helped build more sustainable and resilient communities. AIA released the new Architect's Guide to Building Performance: Integrating Simulation in the Design Process, a resource that helps architects incorporate energy modeling into their design process to achieve greater energy efficiency. One resource mentioned in the Guide is Project StaSIO. In this live AIAU course, Kjell Anderson, Alejandra Menchaca, Jacob Dunn, and Amarpreet Sethi will discuss the main takeaways from the AIA Guide to Integrating Building Performance Simulation and how the profiles in the Project Stasio database can guide architects to incorporate energy efficient strategies into their own projects. The 2019 National Energy Codes Conference was a great success. More than 250 thought leaders from the energy codes community converged on Denver for three days of solution-oriented discussion. Visit the Energy Codes 2019 website for session presentations and a summary of this year's event.
COTE held an interactive learning session at A'19 in Las Vegas, exploring the Top Ten toolkit.
