AIA session on Advocacy and bringing it to the studio. We have a great lineup led by
Cindy Schwartz and covering federal and state policy, plus a couple of examples from
Richard Mohler, Univ. WA and
Emilie Taylor Welty, Tulane University, of studio work. Our session is on
March 25, 11 am - Noon ET. Of course, don't forget to

AIA AAH Fellowships Open - Info sessions March 16 and March 18
The AIA Academy of Architecture for Health and The Foundation for Health Environment Research would like to invite you to attend a virtual meeting next week to learn more about our three Fellowships, with a deadline of April 23, 2021.

DOE's Integrated Lighting Campaign Seeks Projects for Recognition
The U.S. Department of Energy's Integrated Lighting Campaign is looking for cutting-edge lighting projects that integrate sensors and controls. There are several categories for recognition. Visit the Integrated Lighting Campaign website to learn more, to join the growing list of partners, and to submit your project. The submission deadline has been extended through March 22, 2021.
Next Generation of Resilience" Student Showcase- March 26 DEADLINE to submit
The Resilient Nation Partnership Network is excited to virtually host the "Next Generation of Resilience" Student Showcase on April 28. During our first-ever showcase, four students will present their work and research focused on creating a more resilient nation. STUDENT PRESENTERS
- Are you an undergraduate or graduate student or do you know a student who is a great fit for this opportunity? If so, please submit abstracts here by March 26. Four students will be chosen to present their work at this event and additional student submissions will be showcased in a special edition of the Resilient Nation Roundup newsletter. Students can add this resume building experience to employment and graduate school applications. We strongly encourage students from HBCUs or those working with tribal and territorial partners on resilience to apply.
NEA Research Grants - Deadline March 29!
Guidelines are now available for two funding programs offered through the National Endowment for the Arts' Office of Research & Analysis: NEA Research Labs and Research Grants in the Arts. The upcoming deadline for both programs is March 29, 2021. Questions should be directed to the Office of Research & Analysis staff at nearesearchgrants@arts.gov. RESEARCH AWARDS
Design for Aging Fellowships for Students & Emerging Professional - Due April 30
Submit for the 2021-2022 Fellowship. Applications are due by April 30. The Design for Aging Knowledge Community offers a fellowship grant for students and emerging professionals in an Undergraduate or Graduate study of an Architecture Program or aging focused program (nursing, gerontology, health administration, product design, industrial design, landscape, etc.). The fellowship will increase their awareness of the needs and nature of aging in place, attracting talented young architects, designers, professionals and students to the field and advancing the knowledge of planning and design for senior living environments. Awards typically range from $5,000 – $15,000.
Robotic Experts and Building Innovators -- Deadline May 12 for First-Ever American-Made E-ROBOT Prize
Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy's Building Technologies Office (BTO), the E-ROBOT Prize is focused on developing advanced robotics for building envelope retrofits in alignment with BTO's Advanced Building Construction (ABC) Initiative. Entrepreneurial researchers, small businesses, students, and nonprofit organizations based in the United States are encouraged to submit their ideas for Phase 1 by the May 12 deadline.
Academy Journal, 22nd edition
As the official journal of the Academy of Architecture for Health, this publication explores subjects of interest to the fields of health care architecture, planning, design, and construction. Our goal is to promote awareness, educational exchange, and advancement of the overall project delivery process, building products, and medical progress that affect all of us.
LEED Credential - funding for underserved
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced it will provide funding for 500 people in underserved communities to earn their LEED professional credential. This commitment is designed to help build capacity and expertise for green building and is a key objective in USGBC's draft equity strategy, USGBC All In: Building Equity Together.
