The Academy page supports AIA's efforts to connect education and practice. AIA works with faculty, staff and students; practitioners; and collateral organizations to support excellence in education and research, expand the pathway to the profession, and prepare future architects. AIA regularly pools resources with AIAS, ACSA, NCARB, NAAB, and others to provide scholarships, educational programming, research, resources, and more.

    Hello and best wishes for all in these times!


    The AIA has immediate need for some research, review, and analysis related to our goals and objectives in our sustainability area. Would you please share this request with your colleagues who might have the skills and expertise to respond?  The complete RFP is attached and the following information should provide a brief overview of the projects.     From Melissa Morancy: 
    In light of the current pandemic, climate crisis, and racial injustice, the AIA has immediate need for a consultant(s) to review some of our policy platforms and tools and provide us with an integrated view that we can use internally with staff and with our members to address these critical issues. A budget of $20,000-$30,000 is available for this project. The project is expected to be completed by December 31, 2020.
     
    The deadline to apply is September 14, 2020 to Melissa Morancy, Assoc. AIA, Director, Sustainable Knowledge and Engagement, melissamorancy@aia.org | Questions regarding the project should also be directed to Melissa and preferably by Sept. 9, 2020. Deliverables include:
      • a graphic visualization
      • environmental scan/landscape assessment
      • Maximum 3,000 word report
