    Course Description:

Join the AIA Codes Advocacy Program for a special three-part miniseries on the national model energy standard, ASHRAE Standard 90.1. Each one-hour session will cover one of the three most recent editions from 2010, 2013, & 2016. One of these standards may already <g class="gr_ gr_40 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="40" data-gr-id="40">adopted</g> in the jurisdiction(s) where you practice, and the newest editions will likely arrive in the coming years. What do architects need to know?

    All three sessions will begin with a general overview of ASHRAE Standard 90.1, including its development process, its format and organization, its compliance options, and the standard's place within the design process and <g class="gr_ gr_36 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="36" data-gr-id="36">achieving</g> <g class="gr_ gr_37 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling multiReplace" id="37" data-gr-id="37">high performance</g> design. Then each specific session will focus on the changes and most important things architects should know about <g class="gr_ gr_38 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="38" data-gr-id="38">the 2010,</g> 2013, & 2016 standards as they make <g class="gr_ gr_39 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="39" data-gr-id="39">their</g> into state & local energy codes.

Attendees may be most interested <g class="gr_ gr_41 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_hide gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace replaceWithoutSep replaceWithoutSep" id="41" data-gr-id="41">to learn about the significant changes included in the most recent standard published in October 2016 which contains 125 addenda to the 2013 standard</g>. While it will not immediately be adopted by most municipalities and states, typically the newer versions begin to become referenced in utility rebate programs, green building programs, corporate portfolio standards, and particularly municipal accelerated green building incentives. Architects that understand each edition's requirements and their concepts will be able to offer clients a "straight out of the box" and proven cost effective <g class="gr_ gr_44 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling multiReplace" id="44" data-gr-id="44">high performance</g> building that exceeds all current energy codes.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

I mess up and missed the webinar. It would be nice if these were recorded for viewing afterwards. Unexpected business does sometimes get in the way

    Thanks,
