This will be achieved through its member and public education, in concert with allied community and professional groups. Join us!

2024 Symposium

The 2024 symposium will be held in Indianapolis, IN in November. Stay tuned for dates and location. Registration will open in July.

    Architecture + the 21st Century Paradigm Shift; How Humans are Hardwired to see Faces for Emotional Regulation (+ why this matters for buildings!)

    This talk directly links to our time, exploring how trauma rewires the brain, and the role of veteran PTSD, post-WWI, in the development of modern architecture. It reviews biometric tools, including eye tracking, which can help us understand how the architectural experience starts subliminally and the brain is hardwired to see specific things to most smoothly regulate.
