The birth of CORA baby! I am sorry i missed it... I was invited to the after party... A lot of good things in our industry and wonderful friendships were born from that moment!

Actually, it was a meeting hosted by AIA prior to the formation of CORA or CRAN. This was a custom residential design forum, which we later called a "congress."  This meeting was to discuss what was on the minds of custom residential architects from across the nation. It was moderated by Claire Conroy of Residential Design Magazine.

Afterwards, the AIA Boston Society of Architects created a sub-committee under housing, called CORA, Congress of Residential Architects. Later that sub-committee then evolved into a grass roots organization called Congress of Residential Architecture, so to include professionals in other fields and industries with a focus on custom residential construction. Later again, AIA CORA members, like David Andreozzi, lauched our Custom Residential Architects Network, which we are all proud of!!!

We are hoping to launch AIANY CRAN for residential architects in the NY, NJ, and CT region who do already belong to a CRAN Chapter. Please pass the word!

Thank you to all AIA members who have supported CORA and CRAN!

    Hi!
I’m delighted to say that we have received nothing but encouragement from AIANY to bring CRAN to the NY, NJ, CT Metropolitan Area at the Center for Architecture in Manhattan.
However, we need to prove that our members would appreciate a local CRAN presence here. (I know I would!) So, on May 15, 2019 AIANY is hosting a meet-up, a party for anyone who is passionate about residential architecture.
At this meet-up, we will explain CRAN’s mission and why we think it would be good to launch an initiative to have a community of CRAN enthusiasts at the Center of Architecture. We will look to see what the response is.
We need help to get the word out. Can you help us get the word out? Feel free to pass my email to anyone who wants to attend or help. I’d be perfectly happy if a hundred people write me!
Thanks for being there and reaching out!
    Yours,
    Dennis

    Hi Julie,
We formed AIA Silicon Valley CRAN component in 2016. Our CRAN component hold programs 6 times per year (at least) and provide CEUs to our CRAN members. We have 42 members signed up.
    Planning our 2020 schedule now.
