Actually, it was a meeting hosted by AIA prior to the formation of CORA or CRAN. This was a custom residential design forum, which we later called a "congress." This meeting was to discuss what was on the minds of custom residential architects from across the nation. It was moderated by Claire Conroy of Residential Design Magazine.
Afterwards, the AIA Boston Society of Architects created a sub-committee under housing, called CORA, Congress of Residential Architects. Later that sub-committee then evolved into a grass roots organization called Congress of Residential Architecture, so to include professionals in other fields and industries with a focus on custom residential construction. Later again, AIA CORA members, like David Andreozzi, lauched our Custom Residential Architects Network, which we are all proud of!!!
We are hoping to launch AIANY CRAN for residential architects in the NY, NJ, and CT region who do already belong to a CRAN Chapter. Please pass the word!
Thank you to all AIA members who have supported CORA and CRAN!

The birth of CORA baby! I am sorry i missed it... I was invited to the after party... A lot of good things in our industry and wonderful friendships were born from that moment!
