Lift and slide doors

    All,

What is your experience with lift and slide doors with low profile thresholds such as Unilux, Weiland, Panda, Marvin, etc. on coastal waterfront exposures with extreme wind driven rain conditions.  I'm less concerned about DP ratings than water penetration.  I would be specifying a DP rating of not less than 50.

    Respectfully,

Honolulu's most respected local developers are just finishing up what is now considered the city's premier oceanfront condominium building. All of the large exterior doors in this project are by Weiland. These are beautiful high performance doors that should meet your requirements. The Weiland family has also been a beloved sponsor of CRAN for many years. Sue Weiland (760-722-8828) can provide you with their water penetration specifications.
