REC's Program Committee is in the process of pulling together several proposals for presentations at the 2013 Denver convention. One of those is a program on Sustainability in Retail and Entertainment. We're proposing a 90 minute panel discussion with retailers and architects who are pushing the limits on sustainable design in retail and/or entertainment architecture. TD Bank has agreed to be one of our panelists, and will talk about their Net Zero bank branch down in Florida.
I'm looking for suggestions from the community on other retailers or entertainment projects which would make good examples of what 's being done, why (how do you convince the 'higher up's' that this is good for the bottom line?), and how can we all learn from those efforts.
If you have a firm, project or client whom you can recommend as an exemplar of sustainability, I'd love to have your suggestions, and contact info to get some of these folks involved. You can respond to me directly if you don't want to blast your suggestions or recommendations all over the internet.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
