    Happy Friday everyone!!!

So, trying to balance my day before I dig into the RFI's on my desk, how about starting a quick thread of places that are hidden or "secrets" in both retail and entertainment places.  This would be places not really well known but for architects would be interested in checking out.

I will start...after enjoying a bite at this place in San Diego, http://www.neighborhoodsd.com/blog.php?cat=Blog... we heard about a secret bar (known as Noble Experiment) that was used back in the prohibition days.  I could not get in, apparently I did not have reservations.  The decor is very, well, out there and not my taste but talk about hidden...

    Anyone else?

I'm from Chicago and recently went to the St. Louis City Museum for kids and I would recommend a visit if you are in the area.  I know your looking for hidden places but I have to admit I would have never gone there without someone taking me, it's tucked into an old warehouse building on the edge of downtown.  The whole place was created by artists and is a playground unlike anything you have ever seen so if you are looking for creative inspiration on how to use materials this is the place to go and wander.  They also had an Architecture exhibit of stone and terracotta detailing which was very interesting, here is a link http://explorestlouis.com/visit-explore/see-do/see-do-member/?mid=29&gclid=COG47Jaqp7cCFadcMgod_hYAMQ.
