AIA's Center for Communities by Design (CxD) focuses on helping cities and towns across the US and abroad transform to meet the needs of their communities. The program is committed to promoting effective public participation processes and an integrative approach to city-building.

We've created a platform where architects and other design professionals can engage with each other around strategies that cities and towns across the world are employing to create healthier, more equitable and livable communities. Explore our resources, including an interactive map of all previous CxD projects. In addition, stay updated on ongoing Communities by Design projects and learning opportunities.
