One of my major initiatives is to ensure the chapter is doing its best to serve our entire territory – which is inclusive of DC, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Southern Delaware (Sussex County). Ours is a region incredibly rich both with history and with historic preservation talent and wisdom. Including the perspectives and knowledge of preservation professionals throughout the broader area will only strengthen the programming and networking opportunities we are able to provide.
As part of the effort to continue expanding outreach across the region, I'd like to invite APT DC members and friends to join a new regional outreach working group I'll be convening in the coming weeks. The group's specific objectives will be to:
We will meet monthly for 1-hour weekday lunchtime conference calls. Our first call will be Thursday, April 25. If you are interested in joining, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject, Regional Outreach Group for call-in information.
Finally, if you know of preservation professionals in the far reaches of our territory who might be interested, please share this message as they will be more than welcome to participate, even if they're not (yet!) APT DC members.
Thanks so much for all you do to make our chapter so extraordinary,
Bryan Fisher, AIAAPT DC 2019 Chapter President
