    All,
Our firm is considering a move to a new software / system that we can use primarily for Construction administration. We've used Autodesk Bim 360 - now Build in the past, but its a big software, when are firm does various size projects including lots of commercial interior renovation and Hospitality work. The firm is 12 people and only 4 concentrate on CA.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Gary

We use PlanGrid for all of our CA work.  It works well (we are an office of 7) for coordination, site visits and housing RFIs/submittals.  The licensing goes "per user" and has various levels that are based on the number of sheets that will be stored.

    Best of Luck,

    Cody

We use Newforma. It has pluses and minuses. It makes finding project info a snap and saves a ton of time when you need to "figure out what happened" on a project. It scans all documents filed to the project - email, word docs, PDFs, it's very powerful in that respect. The CA tools work, but are a little slow. You find yourself waiting a few seconds for the program to catch up to what you want to do, but still more accurate and efficient than an excel log. Markups are light years behind Bluebeam, but have helped us go more paperless. Learning curve is a little steep and adoption in the firm was slow. Your PMs will love it, others might grumble.

In my experience receiving file shares from archived projects that were converted to Newforma it leaves a great deal to be fixed. I requested drawings from a firm I used to be a partner in converted all their archives to Newforma. The cad files could not be opened, xrefs were non-existent. A great sales team but don’t be duped!
