I am in the middle of trying to finalize a contract. The edits are made, the doc is imported but the software is saying it does not recognize the contract as an AIA doc. This has happened to me once before and I suspect it is a glitch that happens when too many people have a hand in edits. However, I took a clean template, did a Microsoft comparison of differences which added all the edits to the template. The I simply accepted the edits and i had my fresh new contract....so I thought. AIA software will not recognize this one.
Any suggestions other than hand retyping every single edit? My client is way past annoyed and this (that we cannot get a contract together) is really making us look terrible.
