    Renovation of the Friends Meetinghouse
    Tuesday, November 18, 2014
    6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

    Friends Meeting of Washington DC
     2111 Florida Avenue, NW
    Washington, DC 20008

The Friends Meeting of Washington invites APT to its campus to share their plans for major renovations and structural improvements to their original 1930s buildings. The architects,  Evan Lippincott (Lippincott Architects) and Richard Wieboldt (Gauthier Alvarado Associates) will be on hand to present the project, give a walk-through and answer any questions.

There are three major parts of this construction plan:

    A. An elevator located to provide access to nearly all parts of the campus.
    B. A two-level glass enclosed hallway connecting our three buildings into a unit.
    C. Major regrading of the back garden, leveling one part to be even with the Assembly Room while building up the other part to be even with Quaker House Living Room.

Registration is free for APT DC Members and $10 for non-members. A request for 1.0 LU/HSW from AIA for this program has been submitted. If you would like to receive CEUs or PDH for this lecture, a donation of $5 to the Founder's Fund is requested *in addition* to your registration.

Located near the Dupont Circle Metro station (Red Line: Q Street exit). Metered street parking is available beginning at 6:30 pm on Florida Avenue. Presentations will start around 6:45 pm.

(Note: Building entrance is on Decatur Place. Parking is also available on Decatur, which is one way from Massachussetts Avenue. To walk from the Metro, walk north to R, turn left on R to walk to Florida, then right on Florida.)
