Progressive Preservation is the term we have used in the title for the 2018 national symposium for DOCOMOMO US: Design/Community/Progressive Preservation, held in collaboration with Landmark Columbus, September 26 through 29 in Columbus, Indiana and AIA Kentucky, AIA Indiana and the Indianapolis Museum of Art. In the diversity of collaborators t seeks to capture a new spirit of preservation that does not solely look backwards but sees a future where design and community are an integral part of the preservation process. By far the largest segment of built environment is post WWII and its sheer quantity and size as wells as its typology and social aspirations requires a new look and attitude that can be best described as progressive.

Please join us in Columbus. To register, see national symposium under www.docomomo-us.org/events
