The mission of the Historic Resources Committee (HRC) is to identify, understand, and preserve architectural heritage, both nationally and internationally. HRC is engaged in promoting the role of the historic architect within the profession through the development of information and knowledge among members, allied professional organizations, and the public.
I recently became involved in our historic cemeteries in Phoenix. Over the last 10 years there have been great improvements. The Pioneer Cemetery Association has completed research for books and events, hired gravestone repair professionals and created intergovernmental agreements with the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department for the routine maintenance on the cemeteries.
