We have been adapting historic structures for housing for many years. Most of them low-rise buildings, old schools, office buildings, and industrial buildings are examples of types that have adaptive well for housing. In the newest code, the provisions and exceptions for
SECTION 1030 EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE appear to have changed. Has anyone else had this provision impact the ability to adapt these types of structures?
