Who we are

The mission of the Historic Resources Committee (HRC) is to identify, understand, and preserve architectural heritage, both nationally and internationally. HRC is engaged in promoting the role of the historic architect within the profession through the development of information and knowledge among members, allied professional organizations, and the public.

    You may have noticed over the past several months that AIA has significantly increased its advocacy activities.  The Advocacy and Relations Department (A+R) has increased their advocacy communications to members, acquired new state of the art outreach tools and just completed AIA's most successful Capitol Hill Day with over 600 AIA members meeting with legislators in Washington DC.

    Now the A+R staff wants to ensure that you are up to speed on the important issues being discussed in Washington, DC, how those issues overlap with the things we care about and let you know how to get involved.

    On May 30 at 2:00 pm (EST) they will hold a webinar to share legislative priorities and strategies, especially those of particular concern to HRC members.  The webinar will review upcoming legislative actions, strategies, anticipated timing, and talk about how HRC members can get involved.

    I strongly encourage you to attend the webinar and learn how you can help make a difference.
