    CALL FOR PAPERS/PRESENTATIONS
    APT DC 2020 Symposium
The Game of Risk: Win the Game and Preserve the World

    Friday, September 25, 2020
Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington
    Mount Vernon, Virginia

The Association for Preservation Technology, Washington, DC Chapter is excited to announce that we are now accepting presentation proposals for our annual symposium! This year's theme is The Game of Risk: Win the Game and Preserve the World in which we'll address strategies to evaluate and mitigate risk for damage and destruction from natural or manmade disasters. The symposium will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington at Mount Vernon. We certainly hope that by this time our event will be able to take place as planned, but we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.

Proposals for presentations ranging from 20-40 minutes will be accepted. We are also excited to announce that we will be hosting a student poster session, giving students and recent graduates an opportunity to share work related to this year's theme. The full call for presentations and student posters is available on the website's symposium page. The submission deadline is May 8, 2020. Please direct any questions to symposium@aptdc.org

We look forward to receiving your presentation and poster abstracts!

    Sincerely,
2020 APT DC Board of Directors
