Sharing the post below and attached from a member of the AIA Committee on Design:

I was planning a trip to the National Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, worth the trip by the way. The nearest town is Baker City Oregon. Preparing for the trip, I stumbled across a collection of photographs that supported Baker City's application for historic district status in 1978. I decided to take more or less the same photographs during our visit. The attached pdf is the result. A trifle at best, but it can't hurt.
Thanks and stay well to all.

    Douglas,
Thanks for sharing your photo essay.  Very impressive.  I've performed similar in our two historic residential districts in Huntsville AL but not as elegantly.

I wish more people would take part in similar surveys.  They can be used as an important historic preservation tool (good or bad) to educate incoming Mayors, historic commission members, etc.  Certainly something that NAPC would be interested in.

Looks like one more town to put on my bucket list too.

    Cheers

Interesting comparisons! Several of the properties have restored missing features or more appropriate roofing. Only the courthouse has had an unfortunate window replacement.
