Who we are

The mission of the Historic Resources Committee (HRC) is to identify, understand, and preserve architectural heritage, both nationally and internationally. HRC is engaged in promoting the role of the historic architect within the profession through the development of information and knowledge among members, allied professional organizations, and the public.

    Join APT DC and APT-DVC for a joint event in Baltimore on Saturday, November 3:  Heritage Documentation and Survey Using Drones - Demonstration and Panel Discussion. 

    On Saturday, November 3, APT DC and the APT-Delaware Valley Chapters will be co-sponsoring a half-day workshop focused on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs a.k.a. "drones") for heritage documentation and investigation. Presenters will include Global Air Media of Baltimore, Vertical Access of NY & DC, and Historic Building Architects of Trenton, NJ.

    Attendees will gain insights into uses of UAVs including high-resolution photography, aerial mapping, photogrammetric survey drawings, augmented visualizations, live-feed and recorded video streams, infrared thermography, and others. 

    We will begin with a live, outdoor UAV demonstration (weather permitting) followed by an indoorround table presentation and panel discussion. Refreshments, including a boxed lunch, will be provided.

    Continuing education credits will also be offered.
