Hey Central Virginia! Something splendid your way comes!
Join APT DC for an informal gathering in Richmond at the Quirk Hotel on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 5-7 pm. Mingle with preservation-focused architects, engineers, contractors, historians, and other practitioners as we kick off our regional programming in Central Virginia. Learn about APT DC and let us know what you'd like to see from us. This will also be an ideal time for those who are attending APT Miami in November to meet ahead of time.
The event will be held in the lobby bar*.
Please share with others in the area that may be interested in attending. If you are interested in future updates, but can't attend this particular event, please register using the Updates Only option so that we can capture your city and zip code.
About the Quirk:
The Italian Renaissance building which houses the Quirk Hotel was built in 1916 for the J.B. Mosby and Co. dry goods store and was noted for being the first fireproof department store in the city. The adaptive reuse showcases the building's classic architectural features like its limestone arches.
*Appetizers to be provided by event sponsors, Glavé & Holmes Architecture and Springpoint Structural. Attendees will be responsible for their personal bar tabs.
Hope some of you can attend.
