  • 1.  640 Firms in a Week

    Posted 05-02-2018 10:25 AM

It's great that our AIA COTE "Tell FEMA: Climate Change is Real" petition is getting so much attention! 640 firms have signed in the first week of posting. But we had over 800 firms sign the "protect EPA and DOE funding" letters last year. We're closing the web page on May 11 so AIA Government Relations can deliver it to FEMA before the Memorial Day break. Please share this link with your colleagues at other firms and in your local Chapter. And please also note: when we prepare our "tool kit" for in-district advocacy in August, this letter will serve as evidence that our Membership will go to bat to support FEMA's funding, too.

    Here's a link to the letter: https://p2a.co/LID3pny

Thank you everyone, we are sending a message.  Climate change is already impacting our firm, and neighborhoods where our employees live.  We need to both adapt to the changing climate (which is already here) and find solutions to prevent the situation from getting worse.
