Additionally, we will visit the Earth Sciences Building and the Center of Interactive Research and Sustainability both by Perkins+Will. We will have guided tours of the Vancouver Museum of Anthropology designed by Arthur Erickson. We will also visit the Erickson home & garden and a private residence designed by Erickson. If time permits or as on your own visits on Sunday, the Langara Student Union building designed by Teeple Architects and the Sunset Community Centre by Bing Thom are projects worth visiting.

The tours will be led by architects familiar with the design aspirations with each building. The conference will also include presentations by planners and architects involved with the developments.

The final evening will include dinner and the member’s slide show, always a great opportunity to see the design efforts of fellow members of the COD. The dinner will take place at the Christ Church Cathedral which has a magnificent interior. The tour arrangements are open to refinement as we near the conference date. Vancouver is a city of great architectural interest and the conference will be rich with great design and information regarding this incredible North American City.
