I worked with Bill as an Expert Witness in southern California during the 1990's on various condo projects. As a younger architect at the time, it was a pleasure learning from Bill and gaining insight into the design and construction process. At that time, I was not aware of the breadth of his accomplishments, but am glad Bill received much recognition for his design work later in his career. We should all be so fortunate.

The AIA Committee on Design held a conference in Palm Springs in May, 2013 where attendees visited a few of Bill Krisel's terrific homes, including one in Twin Palms where Krisel himself spoke about his process of designing everything for a house from the landscaping right down to the cocktail napkins.
Krisel passed away on June 5, 2017. Here is a link to his obituary in The New York Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/08/arts/design/william-krisel-dead-architect-alexander-house-sun-belt.html?emc=eta1
