Washington, DC

I am the Office Director for SmithGroup's Washington, DC office, and my position is extremely fulfilling and rewarding with the occasional challenges of ambiguity and uncertainty found in most leadership roles. As the son of a concert pianist and a petroleum engineer, it's arguably inevitable that I found my way into architecture through the arts and sciences in grade school. I enjoy advising, inspiring, mentoring, and otherwise guiding within my working life, professional outreach, and opportunities to teach. I find that those actions also bring back the same benefits to me in a rich, complex set of interactions that only architecture can provide - let's make the world a better place!
