Bio

Jonathan Herz is a registered architect with over 35 years experience in the public and private sectors. He has recently retired from the Department of Health and Human Services where he oversaw the real property strategy and policy branch. He was previously in the GSA’s Office of Governmentwide Policy, where he authored and edited numerous publications and articles to promote sustainable development and high-performance work places, including “The New Sustainable Frontier: Principles of Sustainable Development” (2009) and “Sustainable Development and Society.”  Prior to joining OGP, he served as a Project Executive and Project Architect for major design and construction projects with the GSA Public Buildings Service in Washington DC and San Francisco. 

He has been a featured speaker at several conferences, including those of the US Green Building Council, the American Institute of Architects, and the American Public Health Association.
