Bryce was a beloved former President of the Texas Society of Architects and Director of AIA Board.  He passed away peacefully in the presence of his adoring wife Trish at 1PM today.  He suffered for several weeks with an inoperable Glioblastoma in the central region of his brain, which was only recently discovered.

Services for Bryce are planned for Saturday the 3rd of November at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas.

    More details to follow.

James – thank you very much for posting this and letting us know. I was on the National Board with Bryce and got to know his wife Trish there as well. He was a exemplary board member, an excellent architect, and just an all-around good and respectable person. Condolences to Trish and the rest of his family – the profession has lost an exceptional member. May he rest in peace and be remembered for his contributions to the AIA and to society.

I am shocked and saddened by the loss of Bryce Weigand.  We were fresh, young architects working together many years ago at TV&S in Atlanta. Bryce had a "great hand" and a giving attitude.  He will be sorely missed. God bless him and his family.

    James:

So sorry to read this.  Bryce was a quiet, impactful leader in the profession, as well as his firm, GFF.  He was also quite the artist.  May his family and friends find strength from each other, and comfort in many happy memories.  May his name be for a blessing always.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bryce's passing. We served on the AIA Board together. Dedicated to his profession, he was forever a gentleman with a positive attitude and an everlasting smile. One of the most beautiful people I have met. My condolences go out to his family. Bryce will be sorely missed.
