Ever had a heavy model that just became too slow.

I think most Architects and designers have created a model that was just too slow. There are many causes that create bloating but the main causes of bloating are: *high poly count in models, usually caused buy the wrong level of detail for the task required. * high pixel images used for visual representation of materials. What is the best way to keep your models running fast? I try and use reputable source for content and sometimes that can be hit and miss. I started a website called RubySketch where myself and my colleagues drew 1000"s of manufacturers products. This helps me with size issues, availability and more importantly the correct level of detail for construction drawing and design. We have a lot of commercial bathroom ware, heating devices and other product that makes designing juts that but faster but more importantly the models have been limited in poly count and the images and textures are low enough in Pixel count to keep our software running smoothly. I invite all to feel free to download the content and by all means let me know what you think. Archicad GDL models, Revit Families and Sketchup Dynamic components. I find it easier to use by selecting file type and then clicking search. This way you can see what products are available. http://www.rubysketch.com
