    Hello -
Does anybody have experience working with a glazing, curtain wall, and/or photovoltaics manufacturer in designing a BiPV curtain wall system?  Looking for recommendations on manufacturers to reach out to for more information.

    Thanks!

    Hi Erin,

I have used Onyx in planning for several large scale projects in countries like Kuwait and Qatar but cannot report yet on how tender, construction, and commissioning went as both projects are not built yet.  With regard to BIPV I would suggest that the long term performance of the PV systems be thoroughly confirmed before integrating them in to the exterior building enclosure because any repairs could involve costly and risky disruptions of the building enclosure.  If there are means to elevated the panels above the roof in a system like what was masterfully designed at the Bullitt Center (COTE Top 10 winner) where they could provide shade and be accessed for repair or if they could be similarly positioned outside the building enclosure as fenestration or wall screens, that might side step the risks of full integration.

    Best, Drake
