I want to welcome you all to the new Retail & Entertainment Knowledge Community newsletter!
The REKC Advisory Group has been hard at work setting new goals and starting new initiatives for our members. Our first new instrument is this newsletter. Each newsletter will have a theme or topic. This quarter we focus on retail venue design in the digital marketplace. We will be providing both original and curated articles, a project spotlight and presenting and recapping our charrettes.
This brings me to our other exciting venture, a quarterly charrette. These brainstorming discussions will be done virtually and focus on the same theme as the newsletter. We have some starting prompts but will need to have everyone participate in the discussion. We want to help all of us see our world a little differently. Everyone should all look to gain a little different perspective or possibly a new way to solve an old problem. Maybe, you can figure out how to put out a little better work, work a little more efficiently or make a little more money, dare I say, all three?
We are looking for community members to get involved in our new adventures. Join us and participate in our quarterly charrette, reach out to showcase a current project in our project spotlight, spread the discussion to related organizations or suggest an upcoming topic. Even better, write an article and start an entirely new conversation!
Either way, we look forward to meeting with you all and hearing more from you about where we are headed.
