Why KnowledgeNet is being updated to AIA Community Hub?
AIA wants to provide the best community experience to both members, staff, and in some circumstances, public visitors from the built environment. While KnowledgeNet continues to provide a valuable platform for members to communicate, share information, and dive into those areas that matter to them, this updated platform will provide a more personalized user interface.
When is AIA transitioning to AIA Community Hub?
August 14th. Users may experience periodic maintenance messages on the 14th until the upgrade is complete.
Is AIA Community Hub powered by a different vendor than KnowledgeNet?
No. AIA will continue to use industry leader Higher Logic to power their community online platform. The benefit of this is an updated look and feel and more personalized member experience with no disruption to familiar functionality.
What changes will we see with the new AIA Community Hub?
1. New Public Home Page: Provides benefits of the AIA Community Hub to both current and future members.
2. Personalized Member Landing Page: A one-stop summary of all activity that matters to each member.
3. New User Interface: Designed to increase engagement, knowledge sharing, and interaction between members.
How are members and staff being notified of these changes?
Existing community members are being notified through an announcement published in the KnowledgeNet communities.
Will the URL be the same for AIA Community Hub as it is for KnowledgeNet?
The current URL for KnowledgeNet (network.aia.org) will be replaced with communityhub.aia.org. Members are not impacted by the update and will be redirected to the proper URL. AIA.org will be updated on the date we go live with the new URLs for all KCs and Member Groups accessed through the website.
Will the users’ login change?
No changes will be made to the users’ login. They will continue to use the credentials they use today to access KnowledgeNet. As always, if you have login issues, please email membersupport@aia.org.
Will the users have to rejoin their communities?
No changes will be made to their current membership and community list. They will have the same access to the same communities as they have today in KnowledgeNet?
Will the users have to reset preferences for email or update their profiles?
All current settings, preferences, and profile details that currently exist in KnowledgeNet today will carry over into AIA Community Hub.
If a member wants to provide feedback on the new experience, where should we direct them?
We would love to hear it! Please email us at aiacommunityhub@aia.org.
