The Academy of Architecture for Health Foundation announced on July 18th the initiation of a Legacy Fund campaign designed to allow contributors to support educational and research initiatives through phased, deferred, or estate donations. Today the AAH Foundation announces that $500,000 in initial pledges have been made by AIA Academy members. Initial gifts received will be used to immediately fund the Arthur N. Tuttle Jr. Health Facility Planning and Design Fellowship program of the American Institute of Architects, and to fund a new J. Armand Burgun Fellowship, which will focus on practice related research.
"We are excited about the leadership demonstrated by AIA Academy for Health members. It reflects the significance of the Academy," stated Foundation President Frank Zilm.
The Legacy Fund is designed to allow contributors to pledge through annual donations, deferred gifts, or as part of their estate plan. As a 501 (c) 3 organization, contributions from retirement plans and other accounts can take advantage of current tax ruling to see the effective use of all of their funds.
