The AIA Technology in Architectural Practice Knowledge Community (TAP) serves as a resource for AIA members, the profession, and the public in the deployment of computer technology in the practice of architecture. TAP leaders monitor the development of computer technology and its impact on architecture practice and the entire building life cycle, including design, construction, facility management, and retirement or reuse.

    The Challenges of Preserving Modern
    Materials & Assemblies

    Friday, September 26, 2014, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    American Institute of Architects Headquarters
    Washington, DC

    The schedule for this year's symposium, which will address the challenges of preserving and conserving
    materials of the modern movement, focusing on post-war materials and assemblies, is now posted.

    AIA Headquarters is easily accessible by Metro (M Blue/Orange: Farragut West, 18th Street Exit or
    M Red: Farragut North, K Street Exit). Parking is also available at nearby parking garages.

    Registration includes breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day. 6.5 AIA LU/HSW credits will be available.
    If you would like to receive AIA credits and/or PD hours, we are asking for a $25 donation to the Founder's Fund,
    in addition to your registration. (ex. A Member registering for the symposium and requesting AIA credits would select
    APT DC Member Registration = $100 and Founder's Fund Donation for AIA credits/PDH = $25 for a total of $125.)
