October 19, 2012 | Stanford, CA
Stanford University Center for Integrated Facility Engineering

Committed to the deployment of computer technology in the practice of architecture, AIA’s Technology in Architectural Practice knowledge community (TAP) continues to be a leader in promoting interoperability and BIM adoption through webinars, conferences, and resources. The 2012 Annual TAP Conference embodies the same commitment to a wider range of technology through a unique multi-point multi-program (MPMP) structure delivering live content online, at Regional Venues around the country, and at a central hub location…this year at Stanford University.

A MPMP event preserves the networking opportunities of a conference, familiarity of your local component, and convenience of webinars to deliver premium, real-time continuing education to members, blending content from national and regional experts. This year’s conference will offer three hours of streaming education.

  • Want to network with industry leaders? The live-event at Stanford University’s CIFE Lab is the hub for Broadening the Perspective of Technology in Architectural Practice, offering the shared content and additional, high-level continuing education. The birthplace of Silicon Valley, Stanford is less than 20 minutes away from scenic mountains and award winning wineries ideal for networking with industry leaders.

  • Want to connect with local members interested in technology? Components, universities, and even firms can sign-up as Regional Venues. Many Regional Venues supplement TAP’s national presentations with featured programming, panels and networking opportunities specific to their community.

  • Want to attend, but a busy schedule is keeping you at the office? Webinars are an effective way to learn, and even ask questions of the speakers using text chat functionality of our easy-to-use online-only webinar option.

TAP coordinates content around exciting, relevant technology topics—we are currently reviewing dozens of presentations treating the topic Broadening the Perspective of Technology in Architectural Practice and will soon release a listing of the very best selected for the conference. Regardless of how you participate, the conference will deliver premium quality AIA / CES Continuing Education to grow your practice.
