How informed are our design decisions? We use tools such as daylight models to predict the light levels within a space and conform our design based on such analysis. Gathering real time data from a building to inform future design especially when it comes to high performance design, is not a normal process.

Should a change in design process necessary to really produce meaningful and high performance designs?

The video above is one attempt to use technology to receive from and send data to buildings.
