    I empathize completely.  The more regulations we devote time to the less design time we have.  Somewhere in all this the quality of life erodes a little at a time.

    I am not an advocate of state mandates like CALGreen to begin with - legislating though burdensome paperwork is a shame.  The AIA (and others) may lighten the legalese somewhat but this is like putting Bandaids on the wound - too little - too late.

    I might have moved to Montana, but the winters are too cold.
