Bio

Kyle is a Board Certified healthcare architect, Senior Associate and Senior Healthcare Planner in Parkin's Vancouver office. With over 17 years of experience, Kyle has worked closely with hospital users and client stakeholders on planning, master planning, and programming over 500,000 square meters / 5,382,000 square feet of healthcare construction projects in the United States, Denmark and Canada.

Kyle is a self-starter who is skilled not only in designing and delivering projects in BIM but also in presenting and facilitating user meetings with a level of humility, empathy and humor to help solve critical design issues that keep clients awake at night.

In 2017 Kyle spoke at the European Healthcare Design Conference in London and at the 2016 Healthcare Design Conference in Houston, Texas on the New Hospital Bispebjerg project in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2014, he spoke at the Next Generation Healthcare Facilities Conference in Los Angeles, California on hospital circulation and wayfinding best practices. In 2011, Kyle was a recipient of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Academy of Architecture for Health's (AAH) Herman Miller Scholarship which recognizes emerging talent in healthcare architecture.

Kyle is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a Board Certified healthcare architect with the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA), a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certificate holder, and a Evidence-based Design Accredited and Certified professional (EDAC). He currently sits on the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) Continuing Competence Committee (CCC) and is Co-Chair of Parkin's Evidence Based Design (EBD) Committee.
