Harry J. Hunderman, FAIA, FAPT is an architect and Senior Principal with Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc., an interdisciplinary engineering, architectural, and material science firm providing research and consulting for existing historic and contemporary buildings and structures. His work focuses on the application of technology to the conservation of the built environment. Representative work includes the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, D.C.; the Wisconsin Sate Capitol in Madison; the San Jacinto Monument in Houston; the LBJ Library in Austin, Texas, and Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial in Put-in-Bay, Ohio.
Mr. Hunderman is a Fellow of the AIA and previously served as Vice President of AIA Chicago and chair of the AIA Chicago Historic Resources Committee. He is a former member of the AIA Historic Resources Committee Advisory Group. He is Past President and a Fellow of the Association for Preservation Technology International (APT).
Mr. Hunderman graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. and an M. Arch., and also holds a certificate from the Architectural Conservation Course at ICCROM in Rome, Italy.
