Call for Candidates for the 26th Richard Morris Hunt Fellow

    2015 Fellowship Application

The Richard Morris Hunt Fellowship (RMHF) is an intensive six-month program that carries a $25,000 award for registered architects to pursue research related to contemporary challenges in historic preservation and urban design.  Each year only one Fellow is selected.  As part of the RMHF experience, the Fellow benefits from guidance and access to a network of the leading historic preservation professionals in France and the United States.

The American Architectural Foundation (AAF) and the French Heritage Society (FHS) established the Hunt Fellowship in 1990, and it continues to foster and support cross-cultural professional exchange between France and the United States.  U.S. design professionals study in France and French design professionals study in the U.S. during alternating years.  The Fellowship is underwritten by a generous grant from Lafarge.

Interested 2015 RMH Fellowship candidates should be U.S. citizens, registered architects with 5+ years work experience, able to converse about technical design issues with professionals in French, and have the ability to travel to France for six months (spread across two or three periods.)

For more information on the Fellowship and the application process, visit http://www.archfoundation.org/2014/03/richard-morris-hunt-fellowship-2015-call-for-candidates/.

Please submit letters of interest in French and English and your curriculum vitae to Thom Minner, U.S. RMHF Program Director, at tminner@archfoundation.org by June 30, 2014.
