  • Call for Nominations: AIA Representative to Pan-American Federation of Associations of Architects

One of the oldest federations of architect organizations, the Federación Panamericana de Asociaciones de Arquitectos (FPAA)was created in 1920, and is composed of 34 national architects’ associations of the Americas, divided into four geographic regions. The organization was founded to establish ties among the architects of the Americas, to enable information exchange, and to promote the profession in the hemisphere. The AIA was a founding member and is the largest member section of FPAA, and along with Canada and Mexico, constitutes the Northern Zone. The AIA has often had members in leadership roles in FPAA.

The AIA is requesting nominations for an AIA member to serve in a leadership position on the FPAA Executive Committee. Candidates should be bilingual (English/Spanish) and have previously served in a leadership position with AIA National, such as on an AIA National committee or the Board of Directors.

Interested candidates should send a CV/resume and letter of interest to Theresa Palma, Director, International Relations, theresapalma@aia.org. The deadline for applications is September 30, 2016 at 5 PM ET.
