The Triennial General Assembly and Symposium of the International Council of Monument and Sites (ICOMOS) runs from November 9-14, 2014 in Florence, Italy. The theme this Triennium is "Heritage and Landscape as Human Values." US/ICOMOS will be sponsoring a series of side events for Americans attending, including a tour by the State Department Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations of renovations being completed to the historic Palazzo Canevaro, home to the US Consulate in Florence, and a side trip to Carrara in connection with upcoming world heritage thematic study of quarry landscapes.
