Does anyone know of a company producing replica Victorian era (1890's) pressed metal roof shingles?

Yes, Craig, I've used shingles from this company:

    http://www.berridge.com/products/berridge-metal-shingles/berridge-victorian-classic-metal-shingles/

The shingles go on easy and look great. Only thing to watch for is paint adhesion. Otherwise, I recommend the Berridge products.

    Hi, folks ---

Thanks for raising this discussion; for me it's only "for future reference" right now, but, "ya nevah know"...

About the adhesion problem; could "pickling" help?  We used to pickle with solvents, then we went back to vinegar, w/ either one needing detergent & hot water as a chaser.  That, in turn, required thorough rinsing and drying, then, sometimes, a re-do and/or a kiss with the paint manufacturer's recommended thinner.

Has anyone asked Berridge about adhesion problems?  And, about suggested painting products, and application methods?  Maybe these shingles want all-shop-painting, w/ only touchups done in the field?

    Thanks ---
