This two-part SAH Study Day will preview a new exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art,
Latin America in Construction: Architecture 1955-1980, scheduled to open officially on March 29, and take a behind-the-scenes look at the
United Nations Headquarters Capital Master Plan, a seven-year project to renovate and preserve this icon of mid-century modernism conceived, in large part, by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer.
A generous break is scheduled in between to allow participants to visit two other MoMA exhibitions,
Uneven Growth: Tactical Urbanisms for Expanding Megacities and
Making Music Modern: Design for Ear and Eye. The curators will be available to guide SAH members through these two shows.
