The US-Algeria Business Council and the Embassy of Algeria in Washington DC are hosting a two city reverse trade mission to Chicago and Washington, DC. This mission will be led by the Algerian Minister of Industry, Investment, and Mines, and the Algerian Ambassador to the United States. Between 2014 and 2019, the Government of Algeria will be investing nearly $300 billion in key industries, including sectors such as agribusiness, healthcare, automobiles and transportation, infrastructure, energy, and mining. These investments can lead to export growth for Chicago-area companies as these plans will likely require sourcing equipment and materials from the United States. Events during the two-day visit to Chicago include a market overview and networking dinner on October 27th, and B2B meetings on October 28th.
