AIA Europe MIlan Conference

Starts:  May 21, 2015 06:00 AM (CET)
Ends:  May 24, 2015 04:40 PM (CET)

Milan is universally recognised as the economic capital of Italy but it is also a world capital of art, fashion, and design. Historical buildings, villas, monuments, modern-architectural buildings, churches and abbeys all offer a variety of styles and striking details that are well worth getting to know.

Key architects with contemporary buildings in the city include Arata Isozaki, Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind, Andrea Maffei Associates, Ian Ritchie Architects, Massimiliano Fuksas, Cesar Pelli, OBR Open Building Research, Stefano Boeri Architetti, Cino Zucchi Architetti, and Park Associati among others. A century after their first International Exposition, Milan has been chosen again as host city for the Universal Expo 2015, an event that from May 1 to October 31, 2015 will turn the world’s attention to Italy.

Expo 2015 Milano will be the ambassador for Italy in front of the entire world. Not only is it an exhibition but also a process, one of active participation among a large number of players around the theme of Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. AIA Europe will be pleased to welcome you as we join the exhibition and the process. Conference Committee: Gregg Brodarick, Assoc.
