China is in the midst of a rapid urbanization process in which hundreds of millions of people will become city dwellers in a matter of decades. This webinar will provide an overview of the governance and policy environment in which this dramatic transformation is taking place. What role do local governments play in developing cities to accommodate the growing urban population? How does urban planning work in China and how is new housing produced? Participants will gain an introduction to some of the key issues at the heart of these questions.
