ET108 - IFRAA Tour

On this tour, you'll explore a variety of worship spaces, including the megachurch Northland. With its café and seating for 3,000, it doubles as a venue for out-of-town symphonies and ballets. Other tour highlights include the bell towers of the Church of the Annunciation. These towers combine classical architectural elements with modern construction methods.

At the Rollins College, you can tour the Knowles Memorial Chapel, built in 1932. Your final stop will allow you to enjoy the murals at St. James Cathedral, a 2011 award winner. The juxtaposition of visiting contemporary and historic houses of worship on this tour will help you consider how to strike a balance between the two. The cost is $100.

EV104 - International Religious Art and Architecture Awards Celebration

at The Sunset Social Hosted by the AIA Knowledge Communities

IFRAA will co-host a social for all members at the AIA Conference on Architecture 2017. In its second year, we expect over 500 attendees. Seasoned and new architects will connect with the member-volunteers who lead the Institute’s Knowledge Communities while indulging in festive cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

IFRAA specifically will be celebrating the 2016 Religious Award and Architecture Awards recipients as well as announcing the 2017 Conover Award. We expect over 125 attendees for this event-within-an-event.

All attendees must register for the conference and the event. If your party will only attend the IFRAA awards celebration, you should purchase one (1) "Events and Expo Pass" ($75 until 2/15, $100 until 3/29, $150 thereafter) and as many tickets as needed for the Sunset Social event ($35 per person).
