Another suggestion for a book to read in preparation for COD's Spring Conference in New York (May 15- 18):
Luke Barley's blog "Regular New" has a recent post, "New York City's Transforming Storefront Facades". In the post Luke refers to a book from 2008 by photographers James and Karla Murray titled,
"Store Front - The Disappearing Face of New York". The book is full of images taken between 2004-2008 in an attempt to "capture the idiosyncratic and iconic nature of the facades in and around Manhattan before they disappeared for good."
