A few weeks ago we announced the Working - Pros, Cons, & Ways Forward morning training. I want to remind you not to miss out on this event from the AIA and the AIA Atlanta that will help you learn how to seize the numerous architectural opportunities in thriving and emerging overseas markets!

This event will provide you with extensive background on working in foreign countries and what resources are available to help you succeed.
India, Brazil, and the Gulf states will serve as catalysts for discussion, as they offer a myriad of opportunities to expand your business portfolio and provide interesting lessons that are applicable to all international work, whether it is in Asia, Africa, Europe, or Latin America. Speakers will include local architects and representatives of the U.S. Commercial Service, the Small Business Administration, and the Export-Import Bank. The event will be hosted in the Logan Room at the Woodruff Volunteer Center, 100 Edgewood Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30303.

    But why should you attend?

    1. This training session will provided knowledge of what it is like to start to expand your practice abroad from fellow architects.

    2. It is an opportunity to learn about resources the U.S. government provides to help you be successful. Expanding abroad can be extremely rewarding, but it also comes with a number of risks. By attending, you can learn of a number of ways you can help insure your success.

    3. Foreign markets can be tricky. Trying to navigate foreign regulatory and legal systems can be overwhelming and discouraging. This training session will help you prepare for some of the challenges you will face.
